Supply Chain Management Basics - Course Description:
Objective:
This modular seminar provides an understanding of the basic definitions and concepts of supply chain management. Participants work on case studies from various industries and learn relevant methods and techniques that they can apply in their daily work. They experience some of the real-life difficulties in the supply chain in a simulation game, group exercises, and interactive sessions. They will recognize the complexity of supply chains and the impact on their own company.

Sales and operations planning (S&OP)
Challenges in demand planning
Forecasting processes
Inventory management
Planning process and supplier evaluation
Supply chain costs and the order-to-cash cycle
Lean principles in supply chain management
Supporting IT systems
Business simulation game
Target group:
Employees from the areas of SCM and/or logistics (e.g. planners, dispatchers, managers) who want to familiarize themselves with the basic methods of supply chain management or implement improvements in their daily work. Also suitable for young professionals and those new to the subject.
Admission requirements:
Completed vocational training or professional experience or management role, e.g., in the areas of purchasing, logistics, SCM, finance, or similar.
Graduation:
Confirmation of participation in this seminar.

Duration of the seminar:
Full-time, two days from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, for a total of 16 teaching units.
Implementation:
Face-to-face training conducted by a senior lead trainer.
Location:
Either as in-house training or at a seminar hotel. To be determined based on requirements and number of participants.
